The sister of the man shot during the Forest Gate anti-terror raid said today that she was "deeply disgusted" by the IPCC report which cleared the firearms officer involved in the shooting.
Humeya Kalam accused the Independent Police Complaints Commission of rushing the report and said her family had been "let down" by police and the IPCC.
Abul Kahar Kalam was shot in the shoulder during the controversial operation in east London on June 2.
Today he was arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography. He remains in custody at a London police station tonight being questioned over alleged offences of possessing and making child sex abuse images.
Ms Kalam said: "I am deeply disgusted by this report. I feel we’ve been let down by the IPCC as well as the police.
"They haven’t done a thorough investigation, they seemed to have rushed it. When they first spoke to us they told us it would take at least seven months and this has been done in just over two months."
Lawyers representing Kahar said he "strenuously denies" the child pornography allegations.
The images are believed to have come to light when anti-terror officers examined a computer seized from Kahar’s address after the armed raid in June in east London, by police acting on intelligence of a chemical bomb plot.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Following advice from the CPS, a man in his 20s has been arrested today by officers from the Met’s Child Abuse Investigation Command. The man, who attended a London police station by appointment, has been arrested on suspicion of possession and making of child abuse images. He remains in custody.
"His arrest relates to an investigation by detectives from the Child Abuse Investigation Command after property was passed to them for examination."
The IPCC report said that during the raid in June the gun went off as a result of contact on a narrow staircase between the police officer and Mr Kahar. He was shot in the shoulder but there was "no evidence of intent or recklessness", the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) found.
Armed police, acting on intelligence, raided the house looking for evidence of a chemical bomb. No such device was ever found. The operation, codenamed Volga, involved 250 officers, who raided two neighbouring properties in Forest Gate, east London.
