| We put the Healey brothers together because both started out in their father's DIY company in Hull. Eddie, 65 last Wednesday, is worth £560m on the back of his property deals. Knowing the market well, he has been cashing in some of his holdings. In August his Stadium Developments sold its Fforest-fach retail park in Swansea to Hammerson for £57.7m. But his main coup was the Meadowhall shopping centre at Sheffield that he developed with Paul Sykes (qv) and sold for £1.17 billion in 1999, netting him £420m. Malcolm, 58, built up the Hygena kitchens business and sold it to MFI in 1987 for £200m. He then developed and sold an American kitchen firm for £800m, but the failure of a later British venture and falling share prices have cut his own fortune this year to £700m.
