Earl Cadogan and family

17 £1,550m Property

The new 900-seat concert hall for the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra that is taking shape near Sloane Square is part of Cadogan's ambitious plans for the transformation of Chelsea. Having inherited his title in 1997, Cadogan, 67, has spent £60m on his 90-acre London estate in the past 18 months and a further £150m on redeveloping the old barracks at Duke of York's Square. Cadogan Group, the family company, showed net assets of £1,315m in its 2003 accounts and we allow for other property and past dividends.
