In a bid to win the Triple Crown, US horse racing's top honour, Tabor has entered 13 horses in the three races: the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and Belmont Stakes. He owned the Arthur Prince betting chain in southeast England until he sold it in 1995 for £28m. His fortune has grown hugely through playing the currency markets and bloodstock investments. Tabor, 62, lives in a £25m home in Barbados.
