Ralif Safin

133= £320m Oil

Russian oil tycoon Safin's pop princess daughter Alsou, will try to crack the British market in May with her UK debut single, a duet with American rapper Nelly. Alsou, aka "Britskispears", has sold more than 10m albums in Russia and came second in the 2000 Eurovision song contest with Solo, which went on to become a hit in several European countries. Earning a living is not too much of a priority in her family, however, given that Safin, is one of Russia's richest men. He founded the Russian oil giant Lukoil in 1991 and retains a £300m stake in the £12 billion business. Late last year Safin, 51, was linked to a consortium bid for Manchester United but as we went to press he had not joined the Russian club-owners' club with his old friend Roman Abramovich (qv). A committed Anglophile, Safin, his wife Rosa and youngest son Renard, 7, live in London, where Alsou and her brother Marat - a sugar trader - were educated and are also based. The family has a palatial £10m dacha outside Moscow. It and other assets add at least £20m to the Safin fortune.
