| Publicity-shy developer Hyams, 76, is still best known for the 1970s Centre Point tower in London. In 1959 he bought a £50,000 stake in Oldham Estates and made £150m when it was taken over in 1988 by MEPC. He then received £98m when MEPC was taken over in 2000. A Wiltshire estate, art and other interests add to his wealth.
