| Brotherton-Ratcliffe, 53, succeeded his father, John, as the family's representative on the board of Croudace, the Surrey housebuilder that is one of Britain's most profitable privately owned groups. A new holding company, Croudace Group, set up in 2002, made £14.9m profit on £82.7m sales in the seven months to September 2002. It is worth £155m. Other interests lift the family to at least £200m.
