| A new aircraft museum with a Concorde as its centrepiece is being proposed for the Mall at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol's main out-of-town shopping centre. Such an attraction would be something of a triumph for Baylis, 84, one of the West Country's leading developers who teamed up with the Prudential to build the Mall, which opened in 1998. His family trusts have a 30% stake worth £180m in the development. The family company, JT Baylis & Co, reflects some of that with a £4.1m profit on £9.5m sales in 2002-03. Its net assets rose £18m to £95m and we estimate the Baylis family accordingly, taking in other assets.
