Sir Michael Bishop

218= £185m Airline

Times are tough in the airline industry - just ask Bishop, 62. In 2002, bmi (the old British Midland) reported a £19.6m loss and a £9.8m loss in 2003. The airline was valued at £457m in 1999 and we stick with that figure. With his stake of 25%, plus other shares in bmi through the BBW Partnership, Bishop's holding should be worth about £135m. We add £50m for the proceeds of past share sales.
