| A Swiss-born financier who lives in Britain for nine months of the year, Tettamanti, 73, has a fortune put at £176m by Bilan. For such a fervent opponent of capitalism (he wrote a virulent polemic, The Seven Sins of Capitalism), Tettamanti has done well out of the system. He was chairman of English & Overseas Properties, a quoted group based in London, in which he had a £6m stake. We stick with the Swiss figure.
