| Morris, 48, is one of Britain's most successful entrepreneurs. In 1989 he sold his 17.6% stake in Ford Sellar Morris Properties for £15.2m to its chairman, Irvine Sellar (qv). By then Morris had started an IT firm called Prometrics, which he sold for £10m in 1997. A year later he co-founded uDate.com, an internet dating operation. Set up for less than £1m, in 2002 the Derby-based company was sold to USA Interactive for £92m, netting Morris more than £20m. He has other assets.
