| Having spent £135m upgrading its printing presses, the Daily Mail & General Trust plans to spend a further £100m to move to full-colour printing. Rothermere, 37, the chairman, is visibly growing into the job he took over from his father at the age of 30. The group has sailed through the recent advertising recession in good shape, with profits in the year to September 2004 up 26% at £234m. The Rothermere family has a £720m stake held either directly or in trusts. Share sales, hefty dividends and property take the family to £850m. |
