| More than 18 months after the death of his father, the Duke of Devonshire, 62 this week, took up residence at the Chatsworth estate in Derbyshire in January. He lived previously at Bolton Abbey, the familys 30,000-acre Yorkshire estate, where he also oversaw two hotels. Art treasures are worth £700m but we halve that to allow for tax. Devonshires 75,000 acres are worth £60m. With assets such as Pratts, the London club, he is worth £500m. |
