| Herd, 48, has turned Farmfoods, the Scottish meat business he inherited with his brother, Gordon, from their father, into the UKs second biggest frozen-food retailer, with more than 300 British stores. Herd bought out the 21.2% stake held by his brother for £10.3m at the end of 2004. We estimate the company is worth £90m, particularly as it is seen as a potential takeover target. We add £5m for other assets, past salaries and dividends. |
