| Bekhor, 46, a former London metal trader, is building a shipping empire. We can see five companies in which he has almost all the shares. The firms, which include Verney Services, Britmar and Auckland Shipping, made £14m profit in 2004-05. Some of the profit was exceptional and the companies had net assets of about £45m.
