| Robinson, 49, teamed up with Hugh Sloane (qv) to launch Sloane Robinson Investment Management in 1994 and it has proved to be one of the most enduring hedge funds in the City. The company is worth £300m, valuing the 10.6% stakes held by Robinson and Sloane at more than £30m apiece. Directors pay and dividends have come in at £175m since 1995. We assume Sloane and Robinson have had the lions share of the business and that should add another £50m each. Robinson donated £6m to his old Oxford college, Keble, for a new arts centre. |
