| The £85m profit that Magnier and JP McManus (qv) shared with the sale of their Manchester United stake in May to Malcolm Glazer was one of several windfalls in the past 12 months. The duo made £40m in February selling an option on the Standard Chartered office site in London. But Magnier, 58, derives his main wealth from his £165m Coolmore racing empire, which earns more than £140m a year.
