Noventa, the tantalum mining company owned by Fleming, 53, is looking to float at £75m. In 2000 Chase Manhattan spent £4.8 billion acquiring the Robert Fleming merchant bank, with the family receiving £1.4 billion. Roddie set up Fleming Family & Partners, offering expertise to wealthy families on everything from hedge funds to divorce settlements. In 2005 Standard Chartered took a 20% stake in the business for £45m, valuing it at £225m. The family has other wealth.
