Lord and Nat Rothschild

Nat Rothschild, 35, son of Lord Rothschild, 71 today, is making waves with his Atticus hedge fund, started with less than £4m and now worth £700m, valuing his stake at £350m. Nat is close to Roman Abramovich (qv) and is a partner in his father’s £1.5 billion investment trust RIT, based in London. The Rothschilds have almost a quarter of the shares, worth £370m, after a strong 2006. Together, with other wealth, the two are worth £1.3 billion after tax.
