Lev Chernoi

London-based Chernoi, 53, originally from Uzbekistan, ran the Trans-World Group with his brother Mikhail. The aluminium business was co-owned by the Reuben brothers (qv) and the Chernois eventually sold to Roman Abramovich (qv). Forbes in 2004 put Chernoi’s wealth at £400m but it has climbed to more than £600m.
