The Somerset-based aggregates business Foster Yeoman was sold for about £300m last year to Aggregate Industries. The deal meant a £200m windfall for the Yeoman family. Yeoman, 76, ran the firm for 19 years until her recent retirement. After tax, the family should have netted about £150m.
