It’s tough in the hedge fund world. Just ask Davies, 56. His Fulcrum Asset Management was one of the City’s fastest growing hedge fund managers in 2005 but had a dreadful time the following year. It was co-founded by Davies, a former chairman of the BBC and one-time partner at Goldman Sachs.
