Stephen Rumsey

Former Merrill Lynch investment banker Rumsey, 56, co-founded London-based European Credit Management with ex-Merrill stars Steven Blakey (qv) and Stephen Zinser (qv) in 1999. In January, the business was sold to Wachovia, an American bank, for a reported £500m-plus. Rumsey, who left ECM early in 2005, kept his stake and should have made at least £100m from the deal.
