Matt Dickinson studied at Cambridge University before joining the Daily Express from the Cambridge Evening News in 1991. He then joined The Times in September 1997 and became Chief Football Correspondent in April 2002. Five years later he took on the role of Chief Sports Correspondent. Dickinson won Young Sports Writer of the Year in 1993 and Sports Journalist of the Year in 2000. He is most famous for conducting the interview with Glenn Hoddle that led to his resignation as England manager
