The agent of So Solid Crew star Megaman said today he had no idea where the rapper was amid reports that he was wanted for questioning over a fatal shooting. The star, whose real name is Dwayne Vincent, is understood to be wanted by police in connection with the murder of 24-year-old Colin Scarlett.

Mr Scarlett was gunned down on Maskell Road, Tooting, south London, on November 6 and died shortly afterwards of his injuries. Officers from Operation Trident, which focuses on black on black crime in London, are reportedly keen to speak to the So Solid Crew star and believe he may still be in the UK. But today a Scotland Yard spokeswoman refused to comment: "We won't discuss who we may or may not wish to interview."

Vincent's agent, Albert Samuels, said he knew nothing about the claims. "It is completely all new to me, I don't know where he is," he said. "I have not spoken to him for about three months. I am still involved with [fellow group member] Lisa Maffia but have not dealt with the rest of the band since the beginning of this year. To the best of my knowledge they were just recording new material to put out on the streets."

A 23-year-old man was arrested in connection with the murder of Mr Scarlett after he walked into a south London police station yesterday. He remains in custody. Police want to trace a small silver car and a red car seen leaving the scene. Two men dressed in black clothing were also seen leaving the area.
