lecturer and was the longstanding presenter of BBC Radio 4's legal programme

Val McDermid
was a journalist for 16 years before becoming a crime writer. Born in
Kirkcaldy in Fife, she is part of the “Tartan Noir” scene of Scottish
novelists. One of her series has been adapted for TV as Wire in the Blood
and her latest novel, Beneath the Bleeding, is out now in paperback.
Barry Forshaw
is editor of Crime Time magazine and author of A Rough Guide to Crime Fiction.
He has judged the Crime Writers' Association Dagger Awards and has edited
the forthcoming British Crime Writing: An Encyclopedia.
Natasha Cooper
is a crime novelist, short-story writer and reviewer for The Times. After
writing six historical novels, she turned to crime writing, first with the
light-hearted Willow King series, then with the Trish Maguire novels. Her
latest novel, A Poisoned Mind, was published this year.
Peter Millar
is a journalist, author and thriller reviewer for The Times. Born in Northern
Ireland and educated at Oxford, he has reported on the Cold War for The
Sunday Times and written two thrillers, Stealing Thunder and Bleak
Midwinter. He has also translated several German books into English.

I have been through the list a number of times and cannot believe that PETER ROBINSON is not on the list. Surely he is one of the best British Crime writers. I wiuld be interested to know other people's opinions of this.
