Maybe he's offering alternatives because i have just been to see the film, and I would rather be dragged slowly over burning coals than suffer that travesty again.

erm, some people don't want to see the film ergo they offer an alternative in the same genre instead of saying 'well I guess you ain't going to see any fantasy this Christmas'
How exactly is giving people a wider choice acting to 'censor' and how is avoiding something you don't like and finding an alternative indicative of people prone to 'not to think for themselves'. Just going to watch something without any attention to your feelings about it is about as sheep like as I can think of.
Oh and yeh atheists have protested at Chronicles of Narnia because it teaches Christian values (most reasonable atheists would consider that to not actually be a bad thing as it is pro-social but some people just hate first think later) and Passion of The Christ recieved LOTS of stick.

I'm sure they would gladly advise us to rent The Chronicles of Narnia as well. I mean that movie doesn't have an underlying Christian theme to it, does it? Did you see Atheists out protesting Passion of the Christ, or the Narnia movie? Talk about having a narrow mind, well I guess Christianity teaches them not to think for themselves and just be one of the "sheep".
