VATICAN The Pope will discuss how to deal with the increasing numbers of disaffected Anglicans wanting to join the Roman Catholic Church at a meeting with cardinals from around the world.
Benedict XVI, who is making the reunification of Christendom a goal of his pontificate, is considering requests from at least three US Episcopal bishops for reception into the Catholic Church. He has also been approached by an entire breakaway group of traditionalist Anglicans.
The meeting in Rome comes on the eve of the consistory to create a tranche of new cardinals and as the Anglican exodus over gays continues.

To enjoy the legitamacy and authority of catholicism one need not join the Latin/Roman Church. I was an Episcopal priest until March 2005. I renounced Episcopal orders and came home to Orthodoxy, in the Antiochian branch. The see of Antioch is ancient. It was teh base of operations for all of St. Paul's missionary journies (except the last). The Divine Liturgy unchanged. The Trinitarian Faith intact.

I left TEC 9 years ago and also have never looked back. Why? the Sacraments the Sacraments the Sacraments. While TEC flails away over things that even a little common sense would show to be un-Biblical, the orthodox parishes -- one of which i was part of -- try to right the ship. But those in control in the US are Hell bent -- pun intended -- to change the Faith once delivered to the Saints. I am saddened watching believers treated as the outsiders, reviled for orthodoxy, etc. Mother Church welcomes all home. Come home and reconnect with the Church Christ Himself started.

And yet we are also told the Catholic church is concerned it s losing members worldwide?

Or is it just the 'kind' of Christian it is attracting that concerns it?
The Church of England may have more cause for concern - with a population of 60m. it attracts less than 1m. on an average Sunday.

One time when I was explaining the four attributes (one, holy, catholic, and apostolic) of the true church to a ministerial association, one gentleman, a doctor of theology, interrupted me by saying " . . . you don't have say anynore, we all know the Catholic Church is the mother church." I was so dumbfounded I didn't think to ask why they didn't all come home to mother. Wharever the reason, it looks like the Angilcans in large numbers, including clergy, are beginning to bow to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. I, for one, welcome all who come in good faith.
Father Paul A. Hostettler, Nashville, Tennessee
I left the Episcopal church 40 year's ago and never looked back. I at that time began to feel that the Episcopal Church only truly cared for the wealthy and influential and were only acting like they were Catholic and in trying to imitate the Catholic Church. So after feeling the emptiness or lack of fullfillment i made the transition to the True Catholic Church. And for any who might feel they will not be treated well ,your so wrong and Mother Church will open up her warm and loving arm's and say welcome home. Yes we have behaviour by some Priest and member's that board on Apostasy but Christ never said there would not be problem's only he would be with his Bride forever and the gates of hell will not prevail......

The work of unity is the work of Jesus Christ. May He bring us all together in the Church, One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic.

We Anglicans are losing skilled, well-educated, dynamic pastors, missionaries, clergy, and professors to Rome. And what do we get from them? Washed up monks who want to get married and still be called "father".
Seems like Rome is getting the better deal!

Many of us who have been catholic minded Anglicans have believed that we were truly "catholic" in the ways that are important. If you are a Roman Catholic it may be hard for you to imagine the heartbreak we have in deciding the way we have followed has departed so far from the true Catholic faith as to be a caricature of what we thought it was.
If we decide to seek out Catholic Church you know,is it too much to hope that you will not rub our noses in the difficulty we are having, and that you will not look down your nose at our motivations?
Wyatt Stephens, Milwaukee, WI
In the view of God always ready to welcome people who looks for him truthfully,I do believe that it is the Holy spirit doing the work of leading back the flock of Christ back to the Church. This is a great good news.A good calling and i believe the angels in heaven will sing praise to God on the day our brothers and sisters in christ are welcomed back.
I do believe that the church will consider their request without putting any obstacle to them.
May Our mother Mary who loves us all guide them till the day they get their heart desired granted.Amen.
Francis Ofu, İstanbul , Turkey
The Catholic Church welcomes all who come in the spirit of true Faith and prays for those seeking truth and peace. But dissatisfaction with one's current religious affiliation should not be the sole factor in seeking union with Catholicism. One must be personally convinced that in the Church resides the fullness of Faith and Truth and in it are the surest means of salvation. So if one's entire community is seeking union with Rome, each individual member of that community should pray and strive for individual discernment. One should not feel compelled to " follow the crowd." This would be the wrong motive. This is my personal opinion and my personal experience in sprirtual matters.
