Atheists, agnostics and religious leaders are as one in their belief in the need to save the world from Man, they say in a joint statement.
Prominent scientists and religious leaders issued a declaration expressing their mutual demands to protect the natural world from mankind.
The declaration was timed to coincide with the climate change summit in Bali, organised by the UN, which will be joined next week by environment ministers from around the world.
Among the signatories were the militant atheist Professor Peter Atkins, of the University of Oxford; the Right Rev Richard Chartres, Bishop of London; Professor Mike Hulme, an agnostic at the University of East Anglia; and Fazlun Khalid, of the Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences.

I can understand why atheists could support this farce known as the Religion of Global Warming, but Religious leaders are commiting heresy.

I think I'm right in saying that in the Bible, it says that God is going to destroy the earth by fire at the end of time, and make a new heaven and a new earth.
I'm just wondering what our world leaders, who now seem obsessed with saving the planet, plan to do to stave off this threat of extinction.
Others aspiring to a different world order, the president of Iran to name one, seem more in tune with the plans of the Almighty, in working towards a grand finale in the form of a nuclear meltdown.
It's hard for the man in the street to know which way to turn... it looks like we face world government bent on saving the planet from the ravages of man, so according to one australian scientist we should stop breeding to protect trees - on the other hand, a group whe want to incinerate us all before God does.
If I was Almighty God, I think I'd be bringing forward my plans for a change of management down here, and to start over with the new heavens and the new earth some time soon!
