A prominent evangelical member of the Church of England’s General Synod has called for a ban on the building of any more mosques in Britain.
Alison Ruoff also claimed that Sharia was inevitable in this country if mosques continued to be built here.
In an interview with London’s Premier Christian Radio, Mrs Ruoff, a former magistrate, said: “No more mosques in the UK. There are enough mosques for Muslims in this country. They don’t need any more.
“You build a mosque and then what happens? You have Muslim people moving into that area, all the shops will then become Islamic, all the housing will then become Islamic and as the Bishop of Rochester has so wisely pointed out, that will be a no-go area for anyone else.
“They will bring in Islamic law. We cannot allow that to happen.”
Dr Michael Nazir-Ali enraged the Muslim community when he warned recently that parts of Britain had become no-go areas for non-Muslims. Mrs Ruoff comes from the same conservative wing of the church. Leading Muslims hit back at Mrs Ruoff. Inayat Bunglawala, Assistant Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain, said: “These are unfortunately very bigoted and, frankly, xenophobic remarks.”

I am so glad that someone has at last had the courage to speak the truth !

People have longed accused Muslims of intolerance, but what is with this open intolerance of Muslims?! And what's with this ludicrous idea: you build a mosque and then Muslims move into that area and it becomes Islamic?! An application for the building of a religious establishment is made in response to the NEED of that community. It means people of that faith in that area NEED that establishment. What is with this twisted thinking about people moving in to conquer an area stealthily behind a religious establishment?
And what is with the even more absurd remarks from bishop Dominic Stockford about City Councils having majority Muslims? What is wrong with someone being democratically voted or for someone to apply for a job in city council? Would that same bishop rather that no Muslims take active part in the peaceful political process and instead turn to rioting?!If bishop Stockford wants to raise his profile, I can think of more rational and productive things for him to say than this.

Assalamalaykum my dearest friendsâ when will you understand that Islam was preached by all the prophets including our beloved Jesus. Unfortunately as ever through mans own evil intentions they have twisted Godâs words. Read the bible and see the many contradictions. I also see evil intentions which live within some priests who advocate hatred towards another religion or people. I ask those would Jesus have done exactly the same as you preach hatred today. Because of your sinsâ the righteousness will arise and falsehood will perish. Islam means peace and that is how we intend to live. I will conclude on one last fact have you ever wondered why between 1934 to 1984 234% of people reverted to Islam this is in comparison for the same period which only 47% converted to Christianity and the reason for this is Islam has the solution for human kind. That is why the Masjids are being built and on the other hand churches have become empty or they are only attended by the elderly.

Baldersash !!!!
Ian Payne, WALSALL,
When will people understand that Islam has, as a stated aim, the taking over of other countries with the Islamic faith? What is put forward in this article is exactly what is happening in both Luton and in Bradford. Mosques have been built in a circle around the cities, and gradually in 'infill' is taking place. At the moment both City Councils are on the point of having a majority of Muslims on them - when that happens the process will then speed up.
'Political Correctness' and a fear of the reaction of Muslims to any criticism simply contributes to this process. If you think this is nonsense then ask yourself why it is that so-called 'Church' schools in this country spend a term teaching the Koran, but no time teaching the Bible!
The answer is not, though, to ban building mosques. It is to preach the truth of Christ properly with full confidence in the saving message of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and through Him alone. In Christ alone we will find our hope...
Bishop Dominic Stockford, Teddington, Middlesex, UK
Ðh, one sensible person, at least. I wonder, why others don't understand it.
