Everybody must know that this problem is not just about Turkey. You can’t say “Forget about Turkey, what can you expect from such a country which allows these kinds of actions?” and behave like it never happened. This is a fight between scientific and non-scientific thinking. And Adnan Oktar is a powerful representative of the non-scientific side. He is not effective just in Turkey, his books are translated into tens of different languages, and sent all over the world. And it is so obvious that these are not just his ideas. He is strongly supported by creationist organizations in USA and Europe. So here, the question is that; “Should the people in USA, Europe or other countries who supports the scientific thinking, leave Turkey alone with this problem? Or Should they help to the people in Turkey who fights against these kind of nonsense?”. The answer must be obviously the second one. People must realize that Turkey is at such a critical position between west and east, and this is where we have to stay strong and united.
