There is one very good reason for the Vantage winning this category: the way it looks. And there’s another very good reason: the way it sounds. While it may lack the sheer pace of the Porsche 911 it still churns out a respectable 380bhp. The chassis is nigh on perfectly balanced and then there’s the badge. There are no rear seats but then this is the most affordable Aston in the company’s history, the best looking car in the world and it sounds like Tom Jones being mauled by an alsatian.
Aston Martin V8 Vantage: There is only one Vantage in the range, although later this year a convertible version will be introduced. The original V8 Vantage was introduced in 1977 and with a top speed of 170mph was billed as a genuine British supercar — with a price tag to match. The modern incarnation by contrast is the cheapest Aston ever made.

In Amerikkka the pus-gutted politicians (and probably the uber-wealthy) have a microchip embedded in their license plates that allows them to speed whenever it appeals to them.
It is just as well that I cannot afford a sports car because I would lose my license. I did own a 350 cube Spyder once!)

Absolutely stunningly gorgeous!

Here in Canada, our laws are so restrictive that you will not find any place where you can take your car above 60mph. We have no unrestricted roads, and to cap it off, if you spin your tires or accelerate or corner too fast, your friendly peace officer will write you a ticket. Power then is more about bragging rights than anything else.
What makes this, or any Aston stand out is it the drop dead gorgeous styling. What an amazing grill. The car turns heads. It makes women swoon. It makes other men cower. It says "I will eat you alive and then come back for more".
Thats why I want one of these so badly it hurts.

the Aston is still 300 bhp below what it should be.
A slow wallowing Hector as you call it.
The M6 is by far the best car with an ugly front-end whoses designers should be flogged.
When that design is changed Aston is toast
