The big problem for MPVs is that the third row of seats happens to be located in the middle of the crumple zone. This means that if you are rear-ended, little Billy becomes little Buffer. Honda’s FR-V gets around this glitch by having just two rows of seats. Three in the front. Three in the back. It’s cramped if you fill it up with six adults but for a family it’s okay. Safe too. And being a Honda it’s likely to outlast the universe.
Honda FR-V: The entry level 1.7 litre petrol engine costs £14,900 and top of the range is the 2.2 i-CTDi Sport at £18,000. But best of all is the £17,300 2.2 i-CTDi SE diesel, which offers better performance than the 1.7 and 2 litre petrol models.
I must say, to Massimo, that comparing the FR-V to a multipla is as rediculous as saying that the Veyron is merely a sports coupe.
I don't see how the multipla in any way can be compared to anything, except a tub of lard.
Concerning MPVs the FR-V, in my opinion, is the best of the bunch!

Strange, they copied Fiat Multipla, which since 1998 has 2 rows of seats, 3+3 places.
If you find it at a good price and don't plan to change car every year the Fiat Multipla could be a nice alternative in my opinion
Massimo, Starandsun,
was very tempted by diesel version of frv to replace accord 2.2 diesel - but- when all the sums completed for company car the frv was going to cost me more than £1000 a year net of tax compared to C max - ok honda better built, faster, one extra seat , more individual/quirky but as a company car driver - for me other things that I would rather spend my £1000+ on
