Take a trip to New York and see the city from the air

Ernst & Young, 1 More London Place, London
www.ey.com/uk
Atmosphere: Looking out over the Thames and HMS Belfast, the large, airy restaurant is as busy as Clapham Junction at rush hour, but the bustling environment acts as an informal meeting point for colleagues and friends.
Worth queueing for: While Thursday’s roast beef and all the trimmings is always mouth-wateringly good and the pudding counter’s cheesecake would make Nigella go weak at the knees, staff queue around the corner for the deli. It offers freshly made sandwiches; Italian chorizo and marinated peppers are popular fillings. A gourmet salad bar has quiches, salami, gnocchi and stuffed vine leaves. It’s a good job the gym next door is subsidised. During “wellbeing weeks” nutritional experts answer people’s food-related queries. All produce is clearly marked for those with special dietary needs.
Straight in the bin: The coffee bar next to the pudding stand. You try juggling a large paper cup filled with hot liquid, a portion of profiteroles, pizza and a soft drink.
What this place really needs is: Central heating. The people behind the food have worked hard to create a busy, Central London-style canteen so keeping the place chilly may be deliberate to turn tables quickly, but, as winter comes, we need to raise the temperature.
Tried and tested: Mexican meatballs and Cajun potato wedges with green vegetables, topped off with date and almond tart and vanilla ice cream, for £4.75. Anonymous

I couldn't disagree more. EY's canteen is more expensive, lower quality and served in a worse environment than any of the plethora of eateries in and around the nearby Borough Market. EY's claims that the canteen is 'subsidised' are laughable. Anyone who eats here is just being lazy...
