While Deloitte staff do their best for their clients, the firm works hard to ensure it is doing its utmost for them. The accountancy firm last year extended fully paid paternity leave to two weeks, enhanced its pension benefit and increased its career break option from one to two years.

The training for its 11,098 staff is impressive and the firm gets an 81% positive score for being good for personal growth, while employees think the experience they gain here is valuable for their future (83%, both scores bettered by just three firms). Workers have confidence in the leadership skills of senior management (77%) and a great deal of faith in John Connolly, senior partner and chief executive (70%, a top 10 result). Employees feel fairly paid for the work they do (60%, with just three companies scoring higher).
