A sleek website from the publishers of the sleek and expensive magazine The Banker. Lots of free news, articles and an archive going back to 1999. A good reference site for those interested in the area, and doesn’t require too much specialist knowledge.

Easy-to-use website from an organisation that aims to monitor private finance organisations’ and banks’ involvement in deals that affect the planet. Its dodgy deals section tells you which banks are backing deals to rip up the Amazon rainforest.

BRITISH BANKERS’ ASSOCIATION

This website for the banking and financial services’ trade association is not the most exciting-looking but contains plenty of good, straightforward information about the sector and lots of interesting facts and figures.
