We've made some changes
to The Sunday Times
Replace bullet points with images. Take a look athttp://office.microsoft.com/en-us/help/HA102403491033.aspx
Sources of images: The very best pictures are of real people and places which mean something to the audience. These days I always carry a small digital camera. Otherwise, here are two sources of good photo images available on subscription: Istockphoto, www.istockphoto.com/index.php or AbleStock, www.ablestock.com/en/
Add texture and shading to shapes (such as arrows and boxes). Produce the basic shape from the Autoshapes menu on the bottom toolbar. Click the shape and go to Format/Autoshape. Open the Color dropdown menu (in the top Fill pane) and pick Fill Effects. To add a graded colour effect use the Gradient tab. For textures (eg, marble effect) go to the Texture tab and click on the appropriate effect.
Templates: Many organisations have set corporate templates but varying the background design is another way to make the presentation more eye-catching. PowerPoint contains a good variety of pre-designed templates. Go to Format/Slide Design. Or try one of the specialist websites such as Presentation Load at http://www.presentationload.com/
For a comprehensive list see http://powerpoint-templates.info/
Reduce the size of the presentation. Use the Compress Picture function on the Picture toolbar. Go to View/Toolbars/Picture. Click on the image and click on the Compress Image icon and click on Selected Pictures. Alternatively, to reduce the size of the whole presentation, click on All pictures in the document.
