February 10: The Rt Hon Iain Duncan Smith, MP, was received in audience by The Queen today upon relinquishing his appointment as Leader of the Opposition.

Mr Justice Clarke was received by The Queen upon his appointment as a Justice of the High Court when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Bachelor.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), received Major General Jonathan Hall upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel and Brigadier Melville Jameson upon assuming the appointment.

Major General Sebastian Roberts was received by Her Majesty upon his appointment as Major General Commanding Household Division.

February 10: The Prince of Wales this morning visited the British International School, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the King Fahd Sports City Complex and met those involved in the Saudi British Sports Co-operation Programme.

The Prince of Wales this afternoon attended a Reception at the British Embassy, Riyadh.

February 10: The Duke of York today visited Kent and was received by Viscount De L’Isle (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Kent).

His Royal Highness this morning visited Pluckley Church of England Primary School.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon visited the Kent Messenger Group, Larkfield, near Aylesford.
