March 8: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning arrived at Brighton Railway Station and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex (Mrs Andrew Stewart-Roberts).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness drove to the Theatre Royal, New Road, Brighton, and were received by the Chief Executive (Mr Julien Boast).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh viewed a performance celebrating the lives of the Monarchs who have reigned during the Two Hundred Years of the Theatre Royal and Her Majesty subsequently renamed the Royal Box, The Queen Elizabeth II Box.
The Queen afterwards visited the Jubilee Library in Brighton and was received by the Head of Libraries and Information Services, Brighton and Hove City Council (Ms Sally McMahon).
The Duke of Edinburgh visited the Pavilion Theatre, New Road, Brighton, and was received by Mr Peter Field (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex).
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently attended a Reception at Brighton Dome, New Road, Brighton, and were received by the Head of Operations (Ms Maxine Hort) and the Mayor of Brighton and Hove (Councillor David Smith).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were entertained to Luncheon at Brighton Racecourse this afternoon by the Mayor of Brighton and Hove and were received by the Chairman of the Racecourse (Mr Simon Clarke).
The Queen later visited Roundabout Children’s Centre, Whitehawk Road, Brighton, and was received by the Director of Children’s Services (Mr David Hawker).
Her Majesty toured the Centre, escorted by Ms Celia Lamden (SureStart Manager, East Area), viewing various groups and met parents who use the Centre and health visitors.
The Duke of Edinburgh visited the Crew Club, 26 Coolham Drive, Whitehawk, Brighton.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Baroness Trumpington (Extra Baroness in Waiting) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Lord Mowbray, Segrave and Stourton (former Lord in Waiting) which was held in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, London SW1, today.
The Prince of Wales was represented by the Lord Lyell.
The Duke of Gloucester was represented by Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Simon Bland.

March 8: The Prince of Wales this morning visited Robert Clack School, Green Lane, Dagenham, and was received by Major Anthony O’Hagan (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
His Royal Highness, President, this afternoon visited the Barking and Dagenham Youth Offender Team Prince’s Trust Programme at the Vibe Community Centre, Becontree Avenue, Dagenham.
The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, later held a Meeting to discuss His Royal Highness’s Farmers’ Marketing Initiative.

March 8: The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, today carried out the following engagements in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
His Royal Highness this morning visited Aldar Properties and attended the signing ceremony for the Ultra Advanced Transport System.
The Duke of York afterwards called upon Sheikha Luba Al Qasim (Minister for Economy) at the Ministry.
His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Lunch given by the British Business Group at the Hilton Hotel.
The Duke of York later called upon Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Minister for Foreign Affairs) at the Ministry.
His Royal Highness afterwards attended a briefing on sour gas at the offices of BP.
The Duke of York this evening attended an Education Reception and Dinner at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (His Excellency Mr Edward Oakden).

March 8: The Princess Royal, Patron, Citizens Advice Scotland, this afternoon visited Renfrewshire Citizens Advice Bureau, 45 George Street, Paisley, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieuten-ant of Renfrewshire (Mr Cameron Parker).
Her Royal Highness afterwards opened Erskine Park Home, Bishopton, Renfrewshire.
The Princess Royal, Honorary President, Spinal Injuries Scotland, this evening attended the Annual Oil and Gas Quiz at Ardoe House Hotel, South Deeside Road, Blairs, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Kincardineshire (Mr John Smart).

St James’s Palace
March 8: The Duke of Kent this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from Ghana.
