The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today attended a Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Diana, Princess of Wales in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1.

The Prince of Wales with Prince William of Wales and Prince Henry of Wales, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke and Duchess of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy also attended.

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

His Royal Highness this morning represented The Queen at a Parade in Merdeka Square to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Independence of Malaysia.

The Duke of York later called upon the Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam at the Renaissance Hotel.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Reception with British veterans and members of the British Malaysian Society given by the British High Commissioner to Malaysia (His Excellency Mr. Boyd McCleary) at the Residence.

The Duke of York afterwards attended a Royal Tea Party given by The Yang di Pertuan Agong and The Raja Permaisuri Agong at the Melawati Palace.
