Legal news
Milwyn Jarman, QC, has been appointed a specialist chancery circuit judge, assigned to the Wales Circuit, based at Cardiff Civil Justice Centre, with effect from December 10, 2007. Mr Jarman, 50, was called to the Bar (G) in 1980 and took silk in 2001. He was appointed as a recorder in 2002 sitting on the Wales Circuit.
Merry Cocks has been appointed a salaried chairman of the Employment Tribunals (England & Wales), assigned to the Birmingham Region, with effect from November 26, 2007. Ms Cocks, 48, was admitted as a solicitor in 1993. She was appointed as a fee-paid chairman of the Employment Tribunals (England & Wales) in 2002.
