His Honour Judge Brunning retired as a circuit judge on June 18, 2008.

District Judge Haselgrove retired as a District Judge on June 6.

His Honour Judge Latham retired as a Circuit Judge on June 3.

David Wyn Richards retired as a circuit judge on May 31, 2008. Judge Richards, 64, was called to the Bar (I) in 1968. He was appointed as a circuit Judge in 1998.

Thomas John Cedric Joseph retired as a circuit Judge on May 31, 2008. Judge Joseph, 69, was called to the Bar (G) in 1960. He was appointed as a recorder in 1992 and as a circuit judge in 1994.

Philip John Price retired as a circuit judge on May 31, 2008. Judge Price, 65, was called to the Bar (G) in 1969. He was appointed as a legal member of the Restricted Patients Panel in 1995 and as a circuit judge in 1993.

Elizabeth Goodman retired as chairman of the Appeal Tribunals on June 1, 2008. Mrs Goodman, 64, was called to the Bar (G) in 1967. She was appointed as chairman of the Social Security Appeal Tribunals in 1986, as chairman of the Registered Homes Tribunal in 1995 and as Deputy Commissioner of the Social Security and Child Support Commissioners in 2000.

Nicholas Riddell retired as a circuit judge on May 5, 2008. His Honour Judge Nicholas Peter Riddell, 67, was called to the Bar (I) in 1964. He was appointed as a recorder in 1992 and as a circuit judge in 1996.

Nicholas Murphy retired as a district judge on May 5, 2008. District Judge Nicholas John Murphy, 65, was admitted as a solicitor in 1970. He was appointed as a deputy district judge in 1983, and as a district judge in 1987, both on the Western Circuit. He was appointed as an assistant recorder in 1996 and as a recorder in 2000.

David Morton Jack retired as a circuit judge on April 24, 2008. His Honour Judge Jack, 72, was called to the Bar (L) in 1962. He was appointed as a deputy circuit judge in 1977, as a recorder in 1979 and as a circuit judge in 1986 on the South Eastern Circuit.

Timothy Richard Godfrey Fetherstonhaugh Ryland retired as a circuit judge on April 30, 2008. His Honour Judge Ryland, 69, was called to the Bar (G) in 1961. He was appointed as a circuit judge in 1988.

Derek Arthur Inman retired as a circuit judge on April 30, 2008. His Honour Judge Inman, 70, was called to the Bar (M) in 1968. He was appointed as a recorder in 1990 and as a circuit judge in 1993.

Edward Donnelly retired as a district judge on April 30, 2008. District Judge Donnelly, 65, was admitted as a solicitor in 1967. He was appointed as a district judge in 1991.

District Judge Tennant will retire as a district judge on April 2, 2008. District Judge Michael Humphrey Tennant, 65, was admitted as a solicitor in 1966. He was appointed as a district judge in 1984 and as a recorder in 1994, both on the Western Circuit.

His Honour Judge William David Matthews retired as a circuit judge on April 11, 2008. Judge Matthews, 67, was admitted as a solicitor in 1964. He was appointed as a circuit judge in 1992 and as a legal member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal Restricted Patients Panel in 2001.

The Honourable Mr Justice Kirkwood retired as a High Court judge on June 8, 2008. Sir Andrew Tristram Hammett Kirkwood, 63, was called to the Bar (I) in 1966 and took silk in 1989. He was appointed as a High Court judge in 1993.
