The Prince of Wales, President of the Victoria Cross and George Cross Association, and the Duchess of Cornwall were present at a service of remembrance and rededication held on Tuesday, September 9, at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square.

The Rev Nicholas Holtam officiated, assisted by the Rev Martin Poll, RN, and Father Robert Halshaw, RAF. Mr Jim Beaton, GC (chairman of the association), read the lesson and Major Peter Norton, GC, said the Act of Remembrance. The Rev David Coulter gave the address.

The Lord Mayor of Westminster, the Defence Services Secretary, the General Officer Commanding, London District, the Master General of the Ordnance (representing CGS), and the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Defence and Minister for Veterans attended.

The High Commissioners for Canada, New Zealand and Australia attended.
