The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning called upon The President of the Republic of Tajikistan at the Presidential Palace, Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Varzob Maternity Hospital, Varzob.

The Duke of York subsequently attended a Luncheon given by the Mayor of Varzob at Guli Maida Restaurant, Varzob.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Takob village school.

The Duke of York later attended a Reception given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan (His Excellency Mr. Graeme Loten) at the Hotel Tajikistan, Dushanbe.

His Royal Highness this evening departed Tajikistan for Kyrgystan and was received later on arrival at Manas International Airport, Bishkek, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic (His Excellency Mr. Paul Brummell).

The Princess Royal this morning opened the Hawk Creative Business Park, the Hawkhills Estate, Easingwold, and was received by Mr. David Kenworthy (Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Learning Resource Centre and Equestrian Facility at Bishop Burton College, York Road, Bishop Burton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of East Riding of Yorkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Susan Cunliffe-Lister).

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Butler Trust, later visited Humberside Probation Trust, Liberty House, Liberty Land, Kingston-upon-Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, this evening attended the Twentieth Anniversary Reception of the Cranfield Trust at the House of Lords, London SW1.
