The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today visited the Headquarters of Vodafone at Vodafone House, the Connection, Newbury, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Mary Bayliss), the Chairman of Vodafone Group (Sir John Bond), Mr. Vittorio Colao (Chief Executive) and the Mayor of Newbury (Mr. Philip Barnett).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Chairman and the Chief Executive, viewed an exhibition of mobile telephones and afterwards met members of staff who were affected by the floods of 2007.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh attended a Reception for staff and guests and were subsequently entertained to Luncheon by the Chairman.
Her Majesty, escorted by the Chairman, later toured the campus and met members of staff and subsequently unveiled a mural to celebrate Vodafone's “World of Difference” programmes.
His Royal Highness officially opened the Well-being Centre.
The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, President, Windsor Park Equestrian Club, this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle, at which His Royal Highness presented the President’s Trophy.
By command of Her Majesty, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Shafi Ahmed at 28 Queen's Gate, London SW7, today in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in London.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Trust, and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning attended the launch of Youth Week at Beckton Community Centre, East Ham Manor Way, London E6, and were received by Colonel Michael Dudding (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, and Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Music Quest Concert at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London WC2, and were received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Princess Royal this afternoon arrived at Christchurch International Airport, New Zealand.
Her Royal Highness, Vice President, Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth, later attended the Royal New Zealand Show, Canterbury Agricultural Park, Gunn Lane, Christchurch.
The Princess Royal received the Governor-General of New Zealand (His Excellency the Hon. Anand Satyanand) at Otahuna Lodge, Rhodes Road, Tai Tapu, Christchurch.
