His Excellency Mr. Eduards Stiprais was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Latvia to the Court of St. James's.
Mrs. Zanda Grauze was also received by Her Majesty.
His Excellency Mr. Lyubomir Kyuchukov was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Bulgaria to the Court of St. James's.
Mrs. Kyuchukova was also received by Her Majesty.
Sir Peter Ricketts (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Mercian and Lancastrian Yeomanry, received Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Brooking upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Francis Acton upon assuming the appointment.
Her Majesty, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), received Brigadier Melville Jameson upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel and Brigadier Simon Allen upon assuming the appointment.
The Queen was entertained to Luncheon this afternoon by the Treasurer of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple (Sir George Newman) in Middle Temple Hall, London EC4.
The Rt. Hon. Gordon Brown MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen's Royal Hussars (The Queen's Own and Royal Irish), this morning received Major General Arthur Denaro upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel and Brigadier Andrew Bellamy upon assuming the appointment.
