The Prince of Wales was represented by Colonel Edward York, Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, at a service of thanksgiving for the life of Mr David Arnold-Forster, Chief Executive of English Nature, held on Friday in York Minster.
Canon Jeremy Fletcher, precentor, officiated, assisted by the Rev Jonathon Baker, parish priest of Scalby.
Dr Suzana Louth and Mr Ronnie Foster, also representing the North York Moors National Park Authority, gave readings. Lord Trefgarne read a poem.
Mr John Varley, Chief Executive Officer of the Clinton Devon Estates and a board member of the Countryside Agency, and Sir Martin Doughty, Chairman of English Nature, paid tribute.

A service of thanksgiving for Mr Robert O. Lightfoot, former Master of the Founders’ Company was held last week at St Bartholomew the Great, West Smithfield, London EC2. Among those present were:
