This table shows the results of around 14,000 state primaries in England, ranked on the aggregate of pupils who achieved Level 4 in each of the three tests in English, maths and science. Around 1,000 schools with ten or fewer pupils taking the tests have been excluded. Level 4 is the standard considered necessary to have a chance of doing well at secondary school. The data is supplied by the Office of National Statistics. Its figures are in whole numbers only; aggregate scores may incorporate figures with decimal points and are accurate to the nearest whole number. Tables have been left blank in places where no data is available.
These tables can be searched by school name, postcose or local authority. Users can also create their own top five lists, using the tick box on the right of the screen to select schools, to compare schools in their area.
Column 3, showing the number of eligible pupils, is based on the number of children in the last year of primary school eligible to take the test in each establishment. Most are 11-years-old, but some are ten. Level 4 scores for English, maths and science are calculated by the government on the basis of all eligible pupils, whether or not they actually took the tests. Absentees are included. Column 8 shows an aggregate of the percentages reaching Level 4 in each subject. Last year's figure is given for comparison in column 7. The results are ranked by Column 8, then Column 7, then Column 3.

Level 5 is considered above average.
