Sir Jim Rose has recommended that the primary school curriculum should focus more on computer skills and be based around six general themes: English communication and languages; mathematics, science and technology; human, social and environmental understanding; physical health and wellbeing; and art and design.

4. Create a Power Point presentation and deliver it in front of up to 200 of your contemporaries and teachers

5. Upload your original art work onto a computer

6. Use Excel or a similar digital spreadsheet to test formulas, rules and values in scientific and maths experiments

7. Take part in discussion groups about the impact of technology on society

8. Analyse a variety of online sources and gauge their historical value

9. Use the internet to view maps, track weather patterns in real time and identify countries

10. Share your work on an intranet with other schools
