Money matters:

Tuition fees are £1,735 per year for undergraduates joining in 2007/2008, with the exception of medical students, where the cost of tuition fees is £2,760 per year.

Scottish students (i.e. those normally resident in Scotland) do not have to pay tuition fees and should apply to the Student Awards Agency for Scotland to cover this cost. Previously, Scottish students were liable for a Graduate Endowment - a one-off payment at the end of their course (£2,286 in 2005-06), but the Scottish Executive has promised to abolish this.

Accommodation:

Students starting in 2008 are guaranteed university-arranged accommodation for their first year. Accommodation ranges from catered to self-catered and is based over 25 sites across the city. Fees (including utility bills, cleaning, personal contents insurance and telephone facilities) for 2007/2008 range from around £102 to £167 per week for catered accommodation, £49 to £107 for self-catered.
